So this is my first attempt at a blog and I am not to good at keeping up with stuff like this so we will see how it goes. I am starting this to document my build of a 1978 CB750 into a Cafe insipred speed machine. I will also post other things on here that interest me and if for some reason a few weeks go by with out a post it might be because I am out on a deployment for work so don't hate and I hope you enjoy!

Slowly...
So today it was another nice day and I got one last ride in. Then I ran to Home Depot for a few things and came back to work on the bike some more. I got the tank off and then it took forever to get it ready for primer because the stripe that seperated the colors was raised. I am also still waiting for a few things from TCP Global and my clear coat so I might only get the base coat down this weekend, but I did get my flake and it looks good.

Some Work...
So today I was starting to do some body work and cut the other side of the fender so I can hopefully paint it soon. This will be my first time doing a real paint job and not a rattle can. It is going to be Roth see-sic-blue trippin flake and I got some old N.O.S. Sportster decals for the tank.

New Cheap Air Filter...
So I spent some time riding today and making a new air filter work. There was a guy over on Chop Cult who gave steps to make a cheap small air filter out of an auto filter. I have been wanting to get one of Chopper Daves but just haven't had the money, so this will do for now. If you are interested on the do it yourself click here.

New Shoes...
So I got the tire and rim all mounted up yesterday but the weather was way less than cooperating. Today was a little cool but nice and I was able to get out and go for a ride. You can't beat a new tire, tube, rim seal, mounted and balanced for all less than $100. Gotta love swap meets!!!

So as promised here is the Wednesday Wagon this isn't the same one from the magazine but I think it is a little sweeter. It is a 1974 Cadillac Fleetwood Station Wagon.

Keene Swap Meet
So yesterday was the Keene Swap Meet I went with my buddy Mike. We got up early and headed out I wasn't looking for anything particular and Mike was looking for some parts for his Ironheads transmission. It ended up being a good day, the weather was perfect the temps were good, and I got some good deals. I ended up picking up a Good Year thin double white wall rear tire for $25 with perfect tread, and a Bell Star helmet for $10. The helmet is in perfect shape the inside is a little dirty but in great shape. There was a rapido tank some guys were holding on to and I was waiting for them to put it down but they ended up buying it for $30, which means it will probably be on ebay soon enough. Then we stopped by a little small charity car show on the way back and then went to our buddy Dave's house for a few beers and some dinner. Over all a pretty good Sunday.
The Helmet
Sweetness from the car show
A shot Mike took while driving, I was reading a classic car mag which is giving me this Wednesdays Wagon.
