So this is my first attempt at a blog and I am not to good at keeping up with stuff like this so we will see how it goes. I am starting this to document my build of a 1978 CB750 into a Cafe insipred speed machine. I will also post other things on here that interest me and if for some reason a few weeks go by with out a post it might be because I am out on a deployment for work so don't hate and I hope you enjoy!

Wednesday Wagon
So this Wednesday I will give you a two for because I am leaving again on deployment and this will be the last one for a few weeks. The first is a 1974 Chrysler Town & Country station wagon with afront end from a 75 Imperial.
This one has been donated by One Speed over at Two Wheel Suicide.

Pretty Much Done...
So I am pretty much done with the paint, there are some flaws but it works for now. I still need to wet sand and buff it but I am leaving again soon and wanted to get some riding in. I finished spraying last night and reassembled today. Last night my paint booth broke so I sprayed it in the driveway, and had some other complications but I worked through it. I hope you enjoy but I am sure you won't enjoy it as much as I do.

Summer Time Blues...
So I am down to my final week before my next deployment and I will be missing a lot of events this summers. Here are a few of the ones I will be missing in the Newest England area, so if you are around you better make it to these events.

Wednesday Wagon
This one is so simple yet so rad. 54 Chevy station wagon chopped 5" in the front, and 6" in the back. Nova subframe, bagged in the rear, removable padded vinyl moonroof, and sitting on steelies w/ baby moons.

Flag Day
Just want to say Happty Flag Day. I have been really busy with work and trying to get the bike finished up. It still needs some more clear, I have learned alot about laying flake and even more dry flake. But I am hoping to have it done by the end of the weekend. For now here you go.

More pics, still not done...
So I got the fender painted black, mocked it up again. I am still waiting on the flake and more clear. I have enough clear to lay the flake I just need more to bury the flake, wet sand, and then buff it out.

Mock Up
So today I stripped the fender back down and did a quick mock up. The fender is resting on the tire so no it won't be sitting that close but it does make me think about making some struts. I am still waiting for more flake to finish up the tank and I did decide to do the fender in black and then have some some pin stripeing laid down. I also pit a black spinner cap on that I got for a steal of the internet.

Slinging Flake
So the other day I cut out of work early with the hopes of getting my paint done because Wednesday and Friday of this week I have 24 hour duty at work. Then this weekend I have my in laws coming in town for 2 weeks and I don't want to be working on it the whole time they are here but I also leave the a week after they leave. So I came home set up my home made paint booth, and then was about to get started and my primer failed when I went to clean it off. So I had to run out buy some more primer, re prime it and then I was ready for paint. This was my first time using anything other than a rattle can and I learned a lot while I was doing it. I sprayed the flake on dry using an undercarriage spray gun. It turned out pretty good so far but I am not done, I underestimated how much flake I was going to need and had to order more flake and clear. I also decided to do the fender in black and I might do some flake on it or get some stripping done. So hopefully they get here soon and I can get it all finished up, but in the mean time here are some pics.
