Inspiration

So it's been a rough few days at work and tomorrow may be the roughest yet. I really have no motivation right now I feel exhausted, so here is some inspiration.

Wednesday Wagon

So the bike is still seized and today was a rough day at work and I don't even want to mess with it. So it sits again, but I decided I will do a Wednesday Wagon every Wednesday. For those of you who don't know me I am a huge fan of old station wagons and definitely want one for a project but for now this is all I will get. This one is from the 2010 Return to Milltown show, it was perfect other than the colors but I still dig the purple.

Well I no longer live in the D but if I was I would be here for sure, so you should be there for me.

But since I can't I will be here.

Swap Meet Finds

So the bike is still seized up and if I don't break it free in a couple more days I will take the top end off and try to tap it free. But on Sunday I went with my buddies Mike, Dave, and Steve. It was a typical swap meet and I was hoping to get a good deal on some clubman bars and a set of pods. We all made out pretty well I didn't get the pods but I did get the clubmans, a service manual for the CB, and a Honda CB350 tank. Mike got a FL fender to run on is 73 IronHead and a new race for his transmission since he threw his rollerbearings and ate up the other race. Dave came out with a sweet little Suzuki tank and 2 pairs of gloves for his wife. I think if I remember we paid $100 for every thing we all got. Now if I can only get the CB unseized because I would like to take at least one spin on it before I really tear into it.

So it begins...

Here is the first post of my new blog that is started to document my cafe build from a 1978  Honda CB750. Some quick background on the bike. About 2 weeks ago we went to buy my wife a new car and while waiting for the paperwork I started to talking to the salesman about bikes. He then started to tell me about a 1972 CB750 he wanted to get rid of. He said it had bee sitting for 20years but looked brand new. I asked him how much and he said free, which we know just happens to be the best price. So two weeks later I borrowed my buddy Dave's truck to pick it up. When I went to pick it up I found out it was actually a 1978 and wasn't in the great shape he said it was in, but it was in great shape for a 78 that had been sitting for 20 years. It only has 3600 miles and is seized up but some miracle oil and some not so tender loving care should break it free. Below are some pics from when I picked it up on the 24th.
