So this is my first attempt at a blog and I am not to good at keeping up with stuff like this so we will see how it goes. I am starting this to document my build of a 1978 CB750 into a Cafe insipred speed machine. I will also post other things on here that interest me and if for some reason a few weeks go by with out a post it might be because I am out on a deployment for work so don't hate and I hope you enjoy!

Homeward Bound

We are packed up and now relaxing, going to bed early and making the 14 hour drive in the morning, then it is work, a week of school, and about a month till I leave for another deployment. Summer has come and gone once again but at least I was here for most of it.

Wednesday Wagon

This isn't really a wagon, but in Michigan a van is registered as a Station Wagon. I saw this sweet "short bus" at the annual Comerica Park Car Show.

Late...

So we are back home right now and I have been busy.
But this should make up for at least missing Wednesday's post. Here is a what started as a 58 Nomad so I guess it is kind of a wagon.

Minimalist

So after not making the Wicked Pilgrim I decided to tear into my hand controls and get rid if the switches. I am still waiting for a Biltwell Single Whiskey Throttle. I narrowed the bars in a little and am going to get them powder coated now.

WTF...

Look at the pics and click here all I can say is why?

Not So Happy Pilgrimage...

So we started off a little late after a few things on Mike's bike. You can see how excited we were to roll

We made great time and had some decent freeway riding got about 106 miles in pretty good time. Then Mike's clutch started acting up so we stopped to take a break, let it cool, and get some gas. We relaxed for about a half hour, saw some guys on the run, and he adjusted his clutch. We then decided to head out and continue with the Pilgrimage but he couldn't shift into second. So we made a stop in a hotel parking lot and he called AAA.

AAA wasn't able to give me a ride and at that time I was exhausted hot and getting eaten alive by bugs so we decided it was cheaper to tow the bike to my house. I then decided to make the trip back home and we would tackle it in the morning and try to meet up with everyone today.

After tearing into it we found some metal pieces and it looks to be a transmission problem so at this time the pilgrimage has ended, maybe next year.

Rub Week

So on Saturday we made a run up to Laconia for bike week. I have never been to any of the big bike weeks and it was about what I expected. Here are a few cell phone shots of some of the decent bikes I saw.
