So this is my first attempt at a blog and I am not to good at keeping up with stuff like this so we will see how it goes. I am starting this to document my build of a 1978 CB750 into a Cafe insipred speed machine. I will also post other things on here that interest me and if for some reason a few weeks go by with out a post it might be because I am out on a deployment for work so don't hate and I hope you enjoy!

New American Iron

So just recently Victory and Harley both released new bikes. Victory is trying to use the same blacked out and matte style as Harley now with the Victory Highball. I have never ridden a Victory but have heard great things about the power plant. I just can't get over any of their styling, this one isn't as bad as the others but it just doesn't do it for me.

Harley released the Blackline which is pretty much an update and return to the Nighttrain. You can get the same unmatching paint scheme as the Fortyeight and it has the lowest seat stance ever on a softtail. It's not bad looking for what it is but I just couldn't justify 15 grand for it. In a few years when there is a cheap used one maybe...

Inspiration

Here is a nice CB I found and I can't remember where. It is simple but done right in my opinion, some more inspiration for when I get home. I will still need to get a heater in the garage until I can get the motor out and in the basement.

Today...

So today we went to the Detroit Auto Show I didn't go last year because it was small and not worth it from what I heard. This year it was pretty big but the highlights were electric cars and hybrids. I didn't take any pictures but here are a few I stole from the Internet. I can say the best vehicle there again was the Ford SVT Raptor and the biggest disappointment was the Boss Mustang set up on a dyno that they weren't running.

Keeping Busy

Well so like I said I did return and have been really busy. I tried to kick the bike over and still nothing but I am going to pull the engine out and strip the frame down. Here are a few things that kept me busy...

Christmas Present...

And then we left to go back to the Motor City to see the family and actually celebrate the holiday's.

We will be gone for the next two weeks my posts may still be random until I am officially back home.

Finally Back!!!

So I have been back from my deployment for almost two weeks and have been pretty busy. Here is a brief press release of a few of things that happened on this deployment.
