So I had duty yesterday which means 24hours of work. I got home this morning and went to mow the lawn after about 3 hours of getting the mower to stop smoking, grinding, stalling, and back firing I finally got it running strong and finished my front yard. Then the neighbor showed up with her neighbor asking me to get hers running. I cleaned up her carb, some fresh gas, and a little starter fluid and it was running like a champ. Then I got to work on the Sporty a little. I recently got a bob tail fender and mounted it the other day but I made some adjustments today and then got it down to bare metal. It had a few layers of some paint on it and it was peeling bad. Next I need to get the tank ready and I will be painting the bike soon. Stay tuned and I will post once I am 100% on color and design.
So this is my first attempt at a blog and I am not to good at keeping up with stuff like this so we will see how it goes. I am starting this to document my build of a 1978 CB750 into a Cafe insipred speed machine. I will also post other things on here that interest me and if for some reason a few weeks go by with out a post it might be because I am out on a deployment for work so don't hate and I hope you enjoy!

The Return and Work has been done...
Ok, so I am back now from my most recent deployment and I hope I have more time these next few months than the last few I was home. The snow is gone, the temps are rising and it is riding season. I have made it out to the garage a little bit. The CB is stripped down now and all I need is a hand lifting the engine out and getting it into my basement onto my work bench. Here is a shot with all the crap off of it and my helper giving me a hand.
