So this is my first attempt at a blog and I am not to good at keeping up with stuff like this so we will see how it goes. I am starting this to document my build of a 1978 CB750 into a Cafe insipred speed machine. I will also post other things on here that interest me and if for some reason a few weeks go by with out a post it might be because I am out on a deployment for work so don't hate and I hope you enjoy!

EPIC

So I don't think I have ever used the word before but it is the only word that comes to mind after last nights show. The opening band was Off With Their Heads never heard of them before but they put on a good show. Next the Bouncing Souls put on a great show as always and played a full set. Then Bad Religion came on and I have been a fan of them for pretty much most of my life, but this is the first time I have been able to make it to one of their shows. They put on a great show and played a great mix of old and new songs. It was weird to see them up there being around for 30years in the punk scene isn't common so seeing a couple of guys in their 40's up there was great and weird at the same time. Just to think of how the scene has grown and what they have seen from all the punk and skinhead riots back in LA back in the 80's to events like the Warped Tour. Here are a few shitty and quick cell phone shots I took from the show and once again all I can say was EPIC, there was also a sweet Iron Head parked outside the House of Blues but I didn't end up getting a pic of it.

Monday and I can't wait...

So Monday at the House of Blues in Boston Bad Religion will be performing for their 30th Anniversary tour. They will be joined by The Bouncing Souls and Off With Their Heads. I am a huge Bad Religion and Bouncing Souls fan. So for me to get a chance to see them both together I am super stocked. I put a flyer below even tough it isn't for the Boston show because I couldn't find one. Either way this should be great show and I have heard great reviews coming from this tour so far.

Ultimate Seizure

So yesterday after messing around getting my lawnmower running Dave came by to help me attempt to unseize the bike. So our plan was to put in gear and tow it behind his truck. We thought hey this will be simple he messed with it a little to see how seized it was and of course he had no luck. So I put the seat back on we grabbed my tow line hooked it up and we pulled. Several times we popped the clutch with it in gear jerking it along and we ended up going around my block and I think he was going up to about 30mph. No luck still so I am starting to think this bike might have been actually seized up before sitting for 20 years and that might be why it is seized up. Before I try to open the motor up I am going to try using a 50/50 mix of acetone and automatic transmission fluid. I have heard this is the ultimate for unseizing a really locked up motor. So I am going to let it soak for another week and then Dave and I will give it a shot again. My big concern now is if there is any scoring to the pistons at all.

The Great Divide

Tomorrow is a huge day for Michigan and Michigan State. Both teams were very underrated coming into this season and right now both teams are ranked 17 and 18, and both teams are undefeated. It has been 1,078 days since Michigan has beat Michigan State and the Wolverine's are due. I think Michigan States Offense might be the most overrated in the Big Ten and Michigan has the best offense in the Big Ten and the most explosive player in the NCAA right now. The biggest problem is Michigan also has one of the worst offenses in the country. So if Michigan wins it will be the Denard Robinson so, hopefully this time tomorrow I will still be singing "Hail to the VICTORS!!!!"

Sweet Ride

So today I left work early because one it was Friday and two my wife wanted to go do the tourist thing and see the New England leafs. So I took her up to the Kangamangas High Way which is actually a sweet road for driving in any vehicle on. The leafs looked good but then it started raining which sucked but we did see this sweet tour bus thing.

Tonight

So tonight I headed over to Daves house it's been a few weeks since I have made it over there. But we got some work done on Mike's bike and Dawn MariesMike finally got his race in the transmission and got his bearings so hopefully it is easy going from here on out and he will have his knees in the wind soon. Dave got the hardtail all lined up and tacked it in on Dawn Maries chop. It was a good night and we got some work done.
Dave grind and chop that shit!!!
Dawn Marie choppin that shit and look safety first.

Sore Knee and Arms

So today I had some time to mess with the bike. It is still seized up so today I spent about 2 hours straight rocking it and jumping on the kick start trying to break it free. I don't think it can take any more Mystery Oil but I do feel like it is about to break. I was going to take the heads off today and try and tap it free but the screws are pretty corroded. I need to get some more PB Blaster, I am all out and get some BB's to clean the tank out still. That will probably be tomorrows adventure. I was really hoping to have more done so far, but right now I am just hoping to get it running before I have to leave on my next deployment for work. So here are some more inspirational photos to keep you and I both interested.

Jet Pack

So I have always wanted a Jet Pack and still don't understand why we don't have these mass produced yet. Everyone should be flying around on these things by now, but we are getting closer.

Apologies

So it looks like he did finally put an apology up, at least he is giving credit to a true builder even though he is still a Douche.

Why OCC is bad...

So this all started a few days ago I think over on CoC first. Then it slowly started making it's way all around the blogs and over on Chop Cult. As you can clearly see below the bike was a sweet chop done by Falcon Motorcycles and then King Douche Bag decided to steal the design, put it on a shirt, model said shirt on his webstore/show, and then say he had a third party design the shirt for him. If your gonna be a thief at least have some dignity give credit to the real builder and admit your fault.

If you check Mike's blog he wrote about how the members of Chop Cult banned together on this unjustice.
